On the outskirts of Nordmarka, a beautiful 35 minute drive from Oslo, you find Sundvolden hotel, situated ideally between the two fjords, Steinsfjorden and Tyrifjorden.
Sundvolden Hotel is privately owned and operated by the couple Tord and Cecilie Laeskogen. They are the second generation that operates Sundvolden Hotel.
How to get to Sundvolden:
From Gardermoen by airport bus: Travel by Askeladden airport bus to Sundvolden hotel. The bus ride takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes. See timetable.
From Gardermoen by express train: Take the train to Lysaker, then change to bus (route 200) on to Sundvolden. The tour takes 1 hour and 15 minutes. See timetable for the express train. See bus timetable.

From Gardermoen by car: From Gardermoen turn off towards Nannestad and then towards Hønefoss. In Jevnaker, follow signs for Norderhov. Then you come to the E16 - follow signs for Oslo. After about 10 km take the exit to Sundvollen. The hotel is right next to Esso station. The tour takes about an hour.
From Oslo by bus: From Oslo by bus. Take route 200 from Oslo Bus Terminal. The bus ride takes 45 - 60 minutes. See timetable.
From Oslo by car: From central Oslo, follow the E18 towards Drammen to Sandvika. Take the road towards Hønefoss and then follow the E16 to Sundvollen. The drive takes about 35-40 minutes.
From Drammen by car: From Drammen take the E18 towards Oslo, take the exit to Lier. Follow RV 285 towards Hønefoss. Follow signs for E16 towards Hønefoss. Take off at Sundvollen. Driving time approx. 40 minutes.
